Local Support. Trusted Guidance. A Community That Cares.
Living with MS can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. MS South Canterbury is here to support you every step of the way.
Supporting People. Strengthening Connections. Living Well with MS.
MS South Canterbury is a local non-profit organisation supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis throughout South Canterbury, along with their families, whānau, carers and wider support networks.
We provide practical support, trusted information, education and advocacy to help people understand and navigate life with MS. Whether someone has recently been diagnosed, has been living with MS for many years, or is supporting someone close to them, we're here to listen, guide and help.
Local Support, Centred Around You.
Everyone's experience of MS is different, and the support people need can change over time.
Our Community Advisor works directly with people living with MS and their support networks, providing one-on-one guidance, advocacy and practical assistance. This can include helping people understand their condition, connecting them with appropriate health and community services, accessing assessments and referrals, and creating opportunities to connect with others in the MS community.
We also work alongside families, carers, health professionals, employers and other organisations to help build a stronger network of support around each person.
Helping People Live Life Their Way.
At the heart of MS South Canterbury is a simple goal: to empower people living with Multiple Sclerosis to remain as independent, active and connected as possible.
Alongside our support services, we help raise awareness and understanding of MS within the wider community, provide access to reliable information and education, and support ongoing research into Multiple Sclerosis.
Most importantly, we're a local organisation with people who understand. When you need information, practical support or simply someone to talk to, we're here.
